screening   &
genetic   testing

-   How do you feel about having tests?

-   Consider potential costs, availability & access to testing

-   If a screening test shows that you may be 'high-risk' of having a baby who may have a condition that causes disability,

what might you choose to do?

-   If you get a 'high-risk' result from a screening test, would you want to undergo further testing to confirm?

-   If you choose not to test, there is an unknown chance that your baby could have a disability.

How do you feel about that personally?

-   Would you like to speak to your doctor more or obtain a referral to a genetic counsellor?
